OMAHA, Neb. — A cell tower project in Dundee will go forward.

The city of Omaha said on Thursday that it will not appeal a federal judge’s decision to allow a 75-foot cell tower to go up in a church parking lot.

Neighbors in the area of 52nd and Charles streets have been fighting the plan since March.

US Cellular wants to build the a tower on church property near Harrison Elementary. The company said it needs the tower in that area to improve its coverage, and a federal judge agreed with the plan earlier this month.
