Planning a Yard Sale this Spring? Have something to sell??

12th Annual Garage Sale Weekend 2005

Sunday May 22 10-2

In previous years, the annual Dundee-Memorial Park yard sale weekend was held on a Saturday/Sunday only. Due to the overwhelming request for more and/or different days, the sale will be advertised as a 4-day sale with sales occurring on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday or any combination of those days. If your sale will have hours that do not coincide with the advertised hours, please let us know and we will try to accommodate placement of your hours on the flier.

The DMPA will provide a flier to yard sale shoppers, indicating the address of yard sales throughout the neighborhood. If you are interested in listing your yard sale on the flier, return application before Monday May 9th (applications returned after this date will not appear on flier.) There is no charge for this service if you are a member of the DMPA. All proceeds from the yard sales go to the sellers.

Please DO NOT return your application form to Dundee Hardware. Forms returned to Dundee Hardware may be delayed reaching us and may not appear on the flier.

The DMPA will pay for advertising promoting the yard sale. Last year, the sale was advertised in the World Herald, Thrifty Nickel, The Reader, Sibyl Meyers Back Yard column, as well as many radio and television bulletin boards (including KFAB, KIOS, KGOR, WOWT, KMTV, KPTM). Advertising other than the flier will not contain addresses of individual sales. Please feel free to advertise your own sale if you wish!

We will not be responsible for pick-up of unsold items. There are many organizations in Omaha that would like to pick up unsold items. Please feel free to contact one of these organizations or the charity of your choice.

If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly at 932-7290. This is our 2nd year organizing the sale but we would welcome assistance from anyone who would like to help in the planning and organization of the weekend sale.

Signs will be available at 905 North 50th Avenue (one block north east of 50th Street and Cuming) by Wednesday, May 18th. Feel free to stop by and see if they are available early. This is a busy time for us and it is difficult to return the many phone calls we receive regarding the sale.
